Looking to see if you had any information going back to 1965, Operation Starlight.
My wife's uncle, Cpl Rowland Joseph Adamoli, died in a VC-ambush firefight on Van Tuong peninsula, as the crew chief in the 3rd AmTrac in a resupply column. Per a letter from someone in his unit to my wife's cousin, his unit then is identified as 1st AMTRAC Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force. He took the first duty at the hatch to identify where the fire was coming from, and got hit. This then allowed another hero, L/Cpl. R. S. Pass, to further identify the enemy and fire back. The action of both men saved the lives of the rest of the men in the AmTrac.
I was hoping to find more information, perhaps what platoon, who the driver was, and some of the other personnel in the column. All heroes as far as I am concerned.

I remember the amphibious vehicle museum at Camp Pendleton on Rattlesnake Canyon Rd. I saw that they relocated the museum to Camp Del Mar but was wondering what happened to the larger prototype amphibious vehicle that were at the museum or if anyone has pics of them?
