My dad was PJ Saxton ("PJ"), former Marine and one-time commander of the 1st (1971-1972 if my memory serves). He was attached to the 1st as a private back in 1946, right after he completed basic at Camp Pendleton. Dad passed away in October 2013 and we are preparing for his interment in early Feb 2015 at the Punchbowl Cemetery in Hawaii. I'm just on the website today to gather a bit of info about the 1st and thought I'd sign the guestbook. Semper Fi!
