I arrived B co. 1st Amtracs July '67.
I was a SSgt coming from Recruiting Duty in Tucson, AZ. In Sep-Oct '67 I was at Con Tien. In Jan '68 I joined 2/4 with Lt. Noke in a float platoon of amtracs. Mar '68 I was on a How'6' when I was wounded the 2nd time. Lt. Goesch was KIA after we abandoned the burning How '6'. I had known him as a Buck Sgt from Court House Bay. Jim Stahl from my platoon rescued the remaining crew members and me. In May '68 I was wounded the 3rd time and medevacced for 9 months of hospitalization and surgeries. I retired from the Corps Aug '79. Would appreciated hearing from anyone who could fill in the grey areas of my memories. Semper Fi

Aco 3rd tracs. Gulf war. Operation pappa bear, attached to self propelled artillery. The VA declared me 100% disabled due to PTSD...I remember very little of it. Some people I remember are Harper, Hansford, Sadie, Ssgr Levelle, Ssgt Baker, Gibson. That's about it

I was with 3rd Force Recon Co. and, in Sept., 1968, we ran nighttime 5-man patrols among the sand dunes in Cua Viet. I recall that we located and destroyed several tunnels but made contact only once during the week I spent there.
