Looking for someone that may have served with my father in Vietnam.
He was at Cua Viet in May of 1968, His name was Richard D Stevens (Dick,Steve) he was a Staff Sgt with 1st Amtrac BN. May have participated in Battle of Dong Ha.
He also was buddies with another Staff Sgt Bill Brewer who served there with him. Any info would be appreciated.

I was reading the comments written by Arthur Perez on Nov 25, 2008. I agree. We may not have been in the same platoon, (maybe we were, buy my memory is not that good) but probably in the same company in Chu Lai. I was stationed K-Bay in 1964. My outfit shipped from Pearl in 1965 heading to Okinawa and on to Chu Lai. The first major conflict in Nam was Starlite and you seldom see anything about it. I still prefer term Tractor Rat to amgrunt

Hello
I am a vietnam scale model builder and enthusiast and mostly interested in the LVTP5.
Since a long time i have the idea to made a LVTP5 photobook. A book with pictures of the LVTP5 in action during Vietnam. For such a project i need support from Amtracers and members witch have original photos. Please cotact me when you have any photos, if black or white or color, or informations. Also i am thankfull for any support.
I believe there is no book about the LVTP5 available wordwide. And to publish such a book is mi goal.
