Serverd w/ A CO, Maintenance Plt. 3rd LVT's from Aug."67to April '69. Served w/ first plt. in field. Looking for Sgt. Lloyd, Pugsley Such, Ray Schlaier, Bill Riddle, Capt. Bromley and others who I may have served with. I remember the day that we heard about Lt. Equi. To a man, we hit our knees and asked God to accept his soul. I mean, some of the toughest, meanest SOB's on the planet cried like babies. I have been to the Wall twice, and each time I find Lt Equi.s name and panel, where I say a few words between us. Would love to hear from any and all ne'er-do-wells who may remember me. Semper fi. My e-mail address is joeythec@gci.net.

Just want to wish all you Tractor Rats that were on the Cruise to the South China Sea from Okinawa on Nov.thru Feb. 1964-'65 a very Merry Christmas. If you recall we spent Christmas Eve in Subic Bay. On Christmas Day we Flapped out to Viet Nam because the VC had bombed the Officers quarters in Saigon. That was the begining of the 1st Amtrac Bn involvement in the Viet Nam War. We returned to Okinawa, and re-deployed to Viet-Nam in May of 1965. Hope if you read this and were there, that you are well, and still giving 'em hell. Have a Merry Christmas.
