A brief report on the Battalion Wall Memorial dedication...
There was a very good turn-out for the ceremony and everyone played well with one another and we all had a good time!
The Wall Memorial is quite impressive and the committee served all of us veterans and our descendants with great care and consideration.
So,be sure to let them all know how you feel about their fine efforts and make the pilgimage to Quantico to witness it in person as soon as you can!
This concludes the reunion series and there will be no more as far as I can say at this very moment. That is, unless some individual(s) step forward to initiate, and host, any future small group reunion or a full-sized reunion.
Thanks for your attention and your support all these years!!!

We have lift off! I spent about 10 hours yesterday working with our designer and her friend (a Navy Seabee who was in our neighborhood in Vietnam Dec '67 to Mar '68 when he was WIA) installing the Memorial Wall Display. They finished it up this morning. So, we have the wall... it looks great and is waiting for all of us to come see it and dedicate it. Thanks to everyone who contributed, whether in cash, in kind, photos, maps, etc, or just providing moral support... and a special thanks to my fellow Committee Members: Martin Johnson, Bob Throm, Mike Silverman and Gene Miller. See you in Quantico September 8th!

I was with the engineering tracs at Cua Viet 67-68 until Sgt Fox volunteered me for a CAP unit. I was originally with H&S company on the E1 engineering tracs. They were good times because it was spent with brother Marines even though we had to burn the sh*tters and dodge the incoming. Great site--glad I found it.

Here is an update on the Battalion wall Memorial dedication... as of last week there are 100+ persons confirmed to attend. These 100 persons are of course a combination of veterans, family members, and guests. This is the FINAL gathering of the Battalion reunion series started in 1987, so consider your options and join us there! SF

I am restoring a LVT-3 Bushmaster. Would love to hear from WWII/Korean vets who served on or around these. Their distinctive feature was the twin Cadillac engines. Hope to have vehicle ready to share in the Okinawa event at the Adm Nimitz museum in Texas.
