Our unit was presented a sword that belonged to the 2ndLt Edward Lewis Jory Jr,of the 1st Amtrac Battalion. We would like to honor this individual by telling his story at our Birthday Ball. All we know about him is who he was with, when (25Aug1967) and where(Quang Tri) he died, and that he was married and born in Albuquerque. If you have any information please contact myself by email (MOI@nrotc.arizona.edu) or phone (520)626-5773.
Thnak you very much,
M.C. Ganley

LAST CHANCE FOR AMGRUNTS HATS/DVDS AND OTHER SOUVENIRS!
For those of you planning to attent the AMGRUNT RALLY, bring your checkbooks! Martin Johnson has the remainder of the HATS/DVDS and TAMPA REUNION SOUVENIR PACKS and will offer them to the first few AmGrunts willing to make a donation of $75 or more to the AmGrunts Memorial Wall Fund. Several of you have reserved sets for pickup at the Rally, and I'm not certain how many that leaves. I think it's about 6 or 7 left. You need to donate by check in order for it to get credited to our wall fund.
Even if you don't get the opportunity to receive the goodies in exchange for your donation, please consider making a donation anyway. We would appreciate the help!

I am a retired Marine. Although not an AmTrac'R, I am the son of a living 'gator Marine who served at Guadalcanal, Cape Glochester, Peleliu, and other campaigns in the South Pacific. Robert L. "Bud" Hall was a Sergeant with 1st Amtrac's and I spent many years of the week of August 14th from my youth at 1st MarDiv Conventions with the Marines of WWII. You Marines are in my heart and soul every moment. Semper Fidelis Marines!
